Some words from an article written by Mike Murphy.

Mike Murphy 는 오바마 케어 (건강 보험 관련 오바마 정책)가 실패하고 있으니 이 기회를 잘 살려서 다음 선거에서는 무조건 승리 해야 한다고 주장하고 있다. 이를 위해서는 정보 전달 방식을 다양화 해야 하고 안전지대에서 나와 공화당의오래된 전략들을 손봐야 한다고 말하고 있다.


GOP: Grand Old Party (미국 공화당)

down-and-dirty: dirty. Americans like to use such phrases. Both 'down' and 'dirty' start with 'd'. This is called literation.

retrograde: 시대에 역행하는
e.g.) retrograde idea

move the party dial away from AM talk radio and toward the occasional salsa beat: 과거에 미국에서는 AM 라디오에서 정치 관련 뉴스를 많이 전했다고 한다. 정보 전달 채널을 다양화 해야 한다는 이야기 인듯.
